Over four intense days, our 15 DEME teams of 120 cyclists completed the 1,000 km against cancer in the annual Kom op tegen Kanker charity ride!

The fourteenth edition of the 1,000 Kilometers for Kom op tegen Kanker has raised a record amount of 7.362 million euros. A total of 1,329 teams participated in the cycling event over the past four days. The proceeds will go entirely to patient-focused cancer research.

What a fantastic event it was. We’re proud to make a difference in the fight against cancer — and deeply grateful for the chance to support such a meaningful cause. A proud moment: our CEO Luc Vandenbulcke handed over a symbolic cheque with DEME’s contribution to David Vansteenbrugge, CEO of Kom op tegen Kanker.

DEME has been a proud long-term sponsor of Kom op tegen Kanker, an organization that operates on several fronts in the battle against cancer. This year, we are supporting Kom op tegen Kanker by participating in both the 100 km running event in March and the 1,000 km cycling event in May.
